What we collect
We only collect what you send us. When you use the contact form that is your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, clinic or company, country, the area you are interested in and the message itself. Our server also records the IP address a submission came from, which we keep as a safeguard against automated abuse.
We do not ask for and do not want patient data. Please do not send clinical records, images or any information identifying a patient through the website; if you need to discuss a case, we will agree a secure channel with you.
Why we use it
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, to put you in touch with the distributor responsible for your territory, and to send you the catalogue or technical documentation you asked for. We use them for nothing else. We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it to third parties except the distributor handling your territory, where that is the point of your enquiry, and service providers who host this site under a data-processing agreement.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR: processing necessary to respond to a request you made and to our legitimate interest in supporting clinicians who use our products.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while the matter is open and for up to two years afterwards, so that a returning question has its history. After that they are deleted. Where commercial law obliges us to retain a document for longer, that obligation takes precedence and the document is kept, restricted to that purpose.
Cookies
This site sets a session cookie that keeps your chosen language and, if you sign in to the dashboard, your login. It is necessary for the site to work and is removed when your session ends. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and nothing on this site profiles you for marketing.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and receive it in a portable form. Write to info@ora-dental.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Berlin, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
Security
The site is served over TLS, dashboard access requires an account with a hashed password, and enquiry data is reachable only by the staff who answer it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure, which is the reason for the request above not to send patient information this way.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to resources we do not control, including our catalogue library on Google Drive. Once you follow such a link this notice no longer applies and the other provider's terms govern what happens to your data.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date below.
